Jyotsnaa G. Bansal has achieved a pioneering milestone by becoming India’s first female numerologist to explore the connection between numerology and Indian philosophy through published academic research. Her work brings numerology into a wider scholarly discussion and opens new possibilities for its study within the framework of Indian Knowledge Systems.
Research Backed by Academic Study
Her latest research examines numerology through the frameworks of Indian philosophy and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). By applying a structured academic approach, she aims to encourage deeper scholarly discussion and open new areas of interdisciplinary research.
Jyotsnaa’s latest research paper studies the relationship between Indian philosophy and Numerology. It has been published in Prajnā, a reputed research journal of Poornaprajna Samshodhana Mandiram, Bengaluru. The institute is recognised as an “Adarsha Shodha Samsthan” by Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
The paper explores Numerology from the view of Indian philosophy instead of limiting the subject to prediction. The publication also gives Numerology a place within structured academic research through a recognized platform. It shows that Numerology need not be seen as a separate or vague subject. Instead, it can be studied as a meaningful area connected with ideas found in traditional Indian wisdom, philosophy and knowledge.
The Work Behind the Milestone
The latest publication follows several years of research. Jyotsnaa has presented papers at national and international conferences on Indian Knowledge Systems, Puranas, Ayurveda, the Chakra system, and Numerology. Her work has been presented at St. Stephen’s College, Central Sanskrit University, and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University.
One of her earlier papers on Ayurvedic Numerology was selected among the first ten papers at a University of Delhi conference. The conference souvenir carrying the paper was released by the then Hon’ble Education Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. The research later appeared in Panchjanya on National Ayurveda Day 2025.
Research, Writing and Public Learning
Along with her research work, Jyotsnaa G Bansal is also an author, columnist, Reiki Grandmaster, Numerologist, Counsellor, Corporate Trainer and Crystals Guide. She writes for publications such as The Daily Guardian and Panchjanya, covering Indian philosophy, Sanskrit, spirituality, numerology, and daily life related subjects like parenting, women empowerment, self-development.
She is also the Managing Editor of ASMITAA, an international peer-reviewed academic magazine that publishes articles on Indian philosophy, culture, yoga, spirituality, and Indian Knowledge Systems. Through this work, she supports scholars who are writing on India’s Knowledge Systems within & outside India.
One Milestone, Many More Ahead
In 2024, Jyotsnaa published “Hypothyroidism Healed: Combined Holistic Approach – Yoga, Reiki, Mantra & Crystals”, based on her personal healing experience.
Her academic work has also received recognition. In 2026, she received the “Arundhati – International Vidushi Pratibha Samman” at the University of Lucknow by Global Sanskrit Forum for her work in research, literature, and Indian knowledge traditions.
As more scholars study Numerology’s connection with Indian Knowledge Systems, Jyotsnaa hopes her work will encourage wider academic discussion and inspire future research in this field.
