Himanta Sarma and Jeet Adani Talk About Assam’s Rs 50,000 Crore Investment Plan

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, met with Jeet Adani, the director of the Adani Group, on Sunday to talk about the Rs 50,000 crore in investments that the conglomerate had suggested during the state’s business conference in February.

According to Himanta Biswa Sarma, the state administration anticipates that the Adani Group’s investment proposals in a number of areas would soon come to fruition.

“The Adani Group committed to investing Rs 50,000 cr during #AdvantageAssam2. To operationalize this pledge, my senior officers and I spoke extensively with Mr. Jeet Adani, Director of the Adani Group, and his team today,” he wrote in a post on X.

He continued, “We anticipate that the Memorandums of Understanding that we signed regarding large investments in the construction of an aero-city, hotels, a cement plant, and important infrastructure projects will take off soon.”

At the opening of the Advantage Assam 2.0 business summit in February, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani declared that the conglomerate would invest Rs 50,000 crore in a number of sectors in the state.
