Earlier this month, Redmi began hinting at the Redmi Turbo 4’s impending release. The general manager of the Xiaomi sub-brand has lately made references to the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro’s launch date, while the company has not yet confirmed an exact date. Its 2.5K display resolution has been confirmed. The first product with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 onboard is expected to be the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.
Redmi General Manager Thomas Wang on Weibo announced that the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro will be introduced next week in China. The flagship phone has now been revealed to feature a 2.5K resolution display. According to the CEO, it will outperform the Redmi Turbo 4 model in terms of performance, texture, and battery life. The new phone is said to have better configurations than competitor businesses’ Ace and Neo-branded phones (translated).
Thomas Wang hinted about the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro’s debut earlier this month. Its operation on the recently released Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC has been confirmed. This premier 4nm octa-core chipset would be used by the new phone for the first time. Up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 onboard storage are supported. Compared to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, it is said to provide up to 31% better CPU performance.
Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is rumoured to feature a glass body with a metal middle frame. The battery capacity of the phone is said to be more than 7,000mAh. The handset is speculated to be rebadged as the Poco F7 in global markets outside China.
The entry-level Redmi Turbo 4 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage was released in China in January for CNY 1,999, or around Rs. 23,500. It features a 1.5K (1,220 x 2,712 pixel) OLED display that is 6.67 inches and refreshes at 120 Hz. It features a 50-megapixel dual back camera system with a MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset. A 6,550mAh battery that supports 90W cable fast charging is housed within.
