Through wide-ranging festivals, interfaith gatherings, and heritage conservation drives, Qasim is rekindling connections blurred by years of conflict.
His mission is simple but transformative: use culture as the bridge that heals, unites, and elevates every segment of society. Qasim has revived classical music nights, poetry recitals, folk art exhibitions, and youth talent showcases that now bring together Shia, Sunni, Hindu, and Sikh communities.
“Culture is the heartbeat of unity,” Qasim explains. “Reviving our festivals and history isn’t just nostalgia—it’s groundwork for a peaceful, vibrant tomorrow.” Each event restores civic pride and sows new friendships—across boundaries of faith and class.
In addition to hosting landmark events, Qasim has collaborated with educators, artisans, and elders to start interfaith dialogues addressing shared challenges and hopes. “Kashmir needs to remember all its colors, not just its scars,” says Priya Koul, a young artist featured in Qasim’s last event.
